News: 'Tales of Beedle the Bard' Book Launch - 3 December 2008
After turning the atrium entrance of Waterstone's Piccadilly into Hogwarts Dining Hall last summer for the launch of the final Harry Potter book, we were again asked to help with the launch of J.K.Rowling's latest book - 'Tales of Beedle the Bard'. The book was launched at Waterstone's Piccadilly at an exclusive event for 500 invitees.
Working closely with our set design partners, we provided a backdrop for the unveiling of the new book - a 16m long, 2.5m high wall reflecting the look of the book jacket. The wall was treated to give it an aged look and featured a 'blue rose' wreath laced with pea lights at it's centre. This was flanked by 8ft trees that were treated with the same blue hues. The whole area was illuminated with striking blue lighting to complete the look.
We also provided decoration for the stage area, cladding the edge of the stage itself with the same aged panelling featuring blue roses and pea lights.
